Pretty as a Pumpkin – Thirteen of the Most Wonderful Fall Finds
Pretty as a Pumpkin – Thirteen of the Most Wonderful Fall Finds
I’ve been getting ready for fall in my shop for weeks now, but for most of you, fall is just coming up on your radar. I like to decorate my home for seasons with just a few simple changes. Nothing fussy or time-consuming. Sometimes I buy a couple new things and sometimes I use stuff I already have. Maybe you have a wooden bowl in a cupboard somewhere you can pull out and put on your table. Maybe you have a pretty, fall tea towel folded away in a drawer. Are you getting that, “Oh yeah, I think I might have one of those” sensation? Take it out and hang on your stove. It doesn’t take much and less is often best. I’ve been on the hunt for just that sort of simple and pretty fall décor items to whet your appetite and get you started. Many aren’t just for fall, but when combined with a pumpkin or other fall item, the look is perfect. I think you will like these fall décor delights. Enjoy!
1. Set of Fall Styling Books
This set of fall books is from the Etsy shop Interiors by Raquel. Covered books are all the rage right now for styling coffee tables and shelves. Also on trend and so inviting is to add some blues to fall decor instead of only reds and oranges.
2. Lemon Leaf Market Fall Wreath
This is my newest Lemon Leaf Market fall wreath. I love that this wreath is a combination of mixed greenery with a burst of fall colors. It just feels like an abundant harvest and would be perfect over a fireplace or on the front door.
3. Harvest Tea Towel
This sweet, subtle tea towel is sold in the Etsy shop Everest and Gray. White pumpkins are the new fall look. I think they are so popular because they aren’t so typically “fall.” They work with any décor, but they are a cute companion to the modern farmhouse style.
4. Handmade Velvet Pumpkins
This velvet pumpkin is from the Etsy shop Your Hearts Content. I bought this burnt orange one, a gray one, and a creamy white one. They are beautifully handmade and timeless. I know I will enjoy them for many years.
5. Linen Throw Blanket
This pretty linen throw blanket from the Etsy shop Cozy Linen is especially nice if you are looking for a blend of textures for fall.
6. Apple Cider Donut Candle
This autumn scent candle is from the Etsy shop Linden Candle Company. Besides being so pretty, what a fun name for a scent!
7. Fall Tablecloth
Etsy shop Kates Linen is the source for this gorgeous tablecloth. It’s not necessarily just for fall, but the pretty neutral coloring blends with fall decor. It almost looks like an heirloom, like your grandma hand tatted the lace or something. It's beautifully handmade, and it looks like it.
8. Fall Nesting Bowls
These Ceramic nesting bowls by Etsy shop Red Barn Pottery have a rustic, earthy, fall feel. The colors are rich and they can be used both as a decor item and as serving dishes for Thanksgiving. And I love that they are handmade and one-of-a-kind.
9. White Pumpkin Centerpiece
This centerpiece has been a favorite for Lemon Leaf Market. The muted colors of lambs ear and eucalyptus are perfect with a white pumpkin. The galvanized, jute-tied pot add the perfect touch of farmhouse to the look. It’s neutral enough to blend with any décor, yet has a distinctly fall look.
10. English Boxwood in Galvanized Pots
Galvanized is the way to go for fall farmhouse and these little pots of English boxwood from Lemon Leaf Market work well if you’re looking for something to transition from summer to fall. They can be styled so many ways, as a centerpiece grouping, on a shelf, a single pot next to your sink, or just about anywhere.
11. Neutral Fall Throw Pillow
This pillow is from the Etsy shop Cotton and Co Spokane. It would be a great addition to a neutral sofa or chair. It just feels like a pillow for cooler weather and I like the tassels. They add a nice burst of texture.
12. Fall Ceramic Dishes
These sage green ring dishes are in the Etsy shop DGordon. I love the detail and distinctly fall look.
What’s fall décor without Hobby Lobby? This plate is super cute with the subtle fall colors and it has a great price, too!
All this talk of fall décor reminded me that I bought some fall tea towels last year. I think I got them at T. J. Max. They are just right for welcoming fall to my kitchen!
